I retired from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service in 2005 after 30 years service.

I spent the last ten years as a Station Officer in Fire Safety. I have all relevant Fire Safety qualifications and a wealth of experience in all types of Fire Safety from small businesses with only a few employees, to large complex buildings with fire engineered solutions.

I have a HNC in Fire Safety Studies, a Health and Safety IOSH certificate and am a member of The Institute of Fire Engineers. I have been an independent Fire Safety Consultant since retiring and have undertaken over 100 Fire Risk Assessments under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 since its introduction in October 2006.

Being a sole trader I can give unbiased advice, which is site specific and tailored to the needs and finances of the client.
I have no set fees, but will agree a fee on visiting the site, prior to undertaking any work. I only charge for the time involved and this equates to a price more than comparable to other consultancies.

As well as all types of commercial properties I also deal with Hotels, Residential Properties and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HIMO’s).
